Default Goldmans Italian American

I know the story about this tomato being found in Italy and named after Amy Goldmans family store but...

Does anyone know what it was likely to have been called before she gave it her name or does anyone know of another variety that is not squat, is red, deeply ribbed /pleated , pear shaped , heavy at the bottom, grows to about 8 ozs and looks similar to her one.

Thank you
