Default JayPaul's First Harvest - Rochester, NY - Paul Robeson Heirlooms

First harvest yesterday - 4 Paul Robeson heirlooms. Largest was a 1 1/4 pounder (and the best tasting). Taste was very good. Lightly smokey and rich. I brought my 3 largest tomatoes that I harvested yesterday to work with me today. About 8 people joined me in a taste test. Two folks said it was the best tomato that they ever tasted! I blushed. LOL...

On a scale from 1 - 10 on smokey (10 being incredibly smokey) I'd give it a 3, and rich tasting, I'd give it a 4. Maybe I need to add more compost, manure, fish bone meal and blood meal to the soil for next year. Waiting to taste my first Aunt Ginny, Clint Eastwood, Black Tula, Blondkopfchen, Brandywine, and Crnkovic Yugoslavian this year. It won't be too much longer, as you can see in some of the photos I've uploaded.
