Default Happy New Year....and where I've been

Hey all - a belated Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!

I will keep this really brief....I think many of you are accustomed to my annual post-gardening disappearance/hibernation spell. This year it has been longer and deeper than most - due to a variety of factors. Further adjustment to "retirement", digging into my book, a very ambitious and exhausting gardening season, the complexity of tracking the dwarf project - but added to those, a bit of disillusionment (the whole Dwarf tomato seed "theft" mess, the Joe and Penny stuff) drove me back to my safe, happier place - spending time with my wife and pets and family, reading, music, reflection. Sometimes I feel like I am not cut out for this version of the social networking world - too many pitfalls, too rough and tumble and nasty, too competitive and money based. Then again, maybe I'm just getting old (ha ha).

Anyway - it is 2013, I've got a multitude of seed samples to catalog and sort through from my wonderful Dwarf team (thanks, all), 2013 seedling sales and garden to plan, book to write, workshops to deliver - it's going to be quite a year (aren't they all!).

see you around!
