Doug, Joanne at SSE had told me that they were going to make it possible for folks using the online Yearbook to print out the 2013 request form from the online, but I know that didn't happen b'c of the SSE requests I've been receiving.

And it's been one darn mess as far as I'm concerned. THe only place one can find the 2013 form is at the back of the 2013 paper Yearbook.

And a mess b'c I've received request forms that have been 2012 ones, one 2011 one and most 2013 ones.

I have honored all of them but many are using the wrong request prices, some from my 2012, and even some on the 2013, so I've written on the wrong ones that my request price for 2013 is clearly written in my blurb ONLINE as well as in the 2013 paper one.

And that's $1 for 10-15 seeds for everyone everywhere, and also means for listed and unlisted SSE members. That was a huge mistake to do that and I'll never do it again. I don't list varieties to make money as a few do, I just want to get new varieties, and some old ones out there,

So I've had to return money to several folks, no problem with that, they sent me too much money in the first place.

As you know I list MANY more varieties here at TV in my annual seed offers and I've given the reasons why before.

I think I mentioned the person who was scamming some SSE members, me for one and Neil Lockhart for another. He lied as to his background as a listed member, put an SSE code on the request form that had never been released, and I sent Joanne at SSE ALL the info and she came back and told me that I was absolutely correct in being suspicious b'c he had fundged almost everything.

I suggested that his SSE membership be revoked and said I'd keep his envelope and money here in case SSE wanted any of it to review, not the money, I'll returen that to him, so it's time that I recontact Joanne and find out what happened.

What's my point about request forms? Right now I'm not all that enthused about SSE itself and what their priorities are, that's one point. Second, if they enable the current year request form at the online I guess I, for one, may opt out totally of listing.

That's b'c the online goes up in roughly the beginning of Dec, or so, I forget the exact date this past year, and since others do seed production for me, bless them, I have no control over when I'll get those seeds back and I was still getting seeds back thru early Jan , 2013, when I just HAD to do the WORD doc for my seed offer here.

I do not want my SSE listings and my TV listings to overlap and I can't do both at the same time, especially if I don't even have the seeds I need to fill SSE requests. Fact is, every year I get less and less requests , same for some of my other SSE friends who list many hundreds, which I used to do as well. And the lack of relisting has resulted in many long time SSE members just getting out.

As I've said before and will say again, the SSE Yearbook has become a seed catalog for an increasing number of folks and the reason it was started was to preserve varieties and the major way that's been done in the past is by relisting varieties they got via SSE with what they found. That hasn't been happening for the most part.

I know this is far too long a response Doug, but you kind of pushed a button for me, so I let it all hang out.

Carolyn, who has made so many wonderful friends via SSE feels bad about what SHE thinks has happened with SSE, but what it, is, and she can always maintain those friendships without SSE being a part of it.
