HELP withFabric Cloth

I need landscape fabric that will last some what more than the stuff at WalMart and would like help in the different types and the best types to use.

Last year I bought some fabric cloth / weed barrier from WalMart paid about $20 for the roll that said it had a 20 year warranty as it was suppose to be the best they had i bought it. I went to the garage this year to get the roll to lay on top of the hardware cloth for a waist high raised bed. Well, I picked up the landscape cloth and it just came apart. I went to a couple of local hardware stores here and one showed me to type they sell and it was a almost felt like material and he also said the type I had gotten was basically plastic.

What are the different types and the best types to use.
