Getting ready to pot up
After not being able to grow seedlings in 2011/2012 due to my move I was able to do so this year.
Planted seed in 2-20 plug trays with Jiffy-Start peat pellets on 01 April sowing 3 seeds per pellet after expanding the pellet with water. First 3 pictures were taken 14 April and the 3rd picture is after thinning to one seedling per pellet. Next 5 pictures taken today 27 April. My light setup is in the basement which is unheated and only source of heat is from the grow lights. The ambient temperature ranged from 15 to 25 degrees C. with the lights running 14 hours a day. Watered seedlings with a weak solution of ferts to include seaweed extract and worm tea. Will pot up to 4" CowPots and Dot Pots tomorrow and set out in a small, unheated plastic greenhouse. Plant out will be mid May. Ami
