Can't agree more always trying to beat the previous early planting date record. If that can't be done I always try to get a few in as early as possible that year. Up here very early is any date before May 15 and late is after the 25th.

We havn't had rain in zone 5b New Hampshire for a couple of weeks and the ten day forecast looks pretty good so I planted 2 Early Girls and 2 Cherokee Puples on may 5th.
This would beat a ten year record for EG's by two days.
