Pamplemousse du Grand Père, anyone?
Tomodori describes this as a beautiful pineapple-type variety, orange-multicolored, meaty, perfumey taste, a cross between Pineapple and Rose de Berne.
I always wanted to try it and last year a T'villian from Europe sent me seeds that he said originated in Belgium. But the grow-outs produced medium sized round red, fairly ordinary fruit; clearly the wrong seed. Anyone have experience with this tomato or know where I could get some new seed to try? TIA, Gary |
