Seed Giveaway
After buying a DBA for my blog/store last year, it looks like Google wallet is going to close in a month or so. My profits do no justify buying another payment service but I want to get seeds out to people that are interested.
Quite a few varieties were acquired from GRIN which is intended as a source for breeders. I do breed tomatoes and offer feedback to GRIN so I feel justified in ordering. However, I think a lot of these varieties are delicious and unique and should be maintained by the public as well as the feds. I cannot vouch for their stability and some are not the greatest tomatoes in the world but my blog has honest descriptions. Some of the plants I have grown in the last few years are only marginally pleasant and I say so. What I am proposing is that for each variety I have featured on my blog, the first person to reply in this thread with the name of the variety can just send me an SASE and I will send seeds. If this thread actually generates interest, please check the thread to ensure someone didn't already request the variety. Just include your screen name in the letter or on the envelope so that I know I am sending to the right person. I would give away a lot more but I saved very limited quantities of some varieties. This offer excludes any of my F1-F5 varieties because I generally save less than 10 seeds at each generation. This offer also excludes Iraqi Sunflower because a gosh darnoodley groundhog knocked over the flower before it was mature, leaving me with about 5 seeds from 2010 that I can make a last ditch effort to grow next year. Everything else is game.
