Default A New One: GMG Red RL Determinate

Incredibly, another interesting variation has arisen from the saved seeds for GMG that I sent to the USA. I received some back for a large red (edited: thanks Robbins). It’s growing and, get this, is a full-blown determinate, each branch terminating with flower trusses and no growing tip. It’s surrounded by indeterminates of various kinds planted at the same time. They are all 5ft tall. This new GMG Red Determinate is 2-3ft and wider again! Setting flattened oblates with some ribbing. How very interesting. A new compact. This is some season for surprises, eh?

Only downside I can see to this plant thus far is, for whatever reason, it gets the wilts in the hot sun whereas nothing else does. I only hope it's the sun and not something else. I really want these to ripen.

Here are some pics. Note the terminating branches. Very excited, yet again.
