Default opalka weirdness

Ok, so I am wondering of this in normal or Opalka or maybe I just got a mislabeled plant. I bought it at my local nursery when I inadvertantly snapped the main growing stem on my San Marzano when planting out (I use the trench planting method). So the plant is very vigorous and has a lot of fruit set that look like the pictures of Opalka I've seen, but it definitely do NOT hvae wispy foliage and oddly, I am getting suckers in between leaf nodes as well as the normal place you would see them coming at a 45 degree angle off of branches. What gives?
