Early tomatoes in Tatiana's garden 2014

As this is the last day of July, I thought I'd post the results of the 2014 season for early varieties trials.

We ended up with about 350 varieties planted this year, and 55 varieties ripened early.

As a reference point:

My definition of early is a tomato that ripened the first fruit on the vine in July.
Mid-season - 1st fruit ripened in August to mid-September
Late season -1st fruit ripened in late September to mid-October.

We pull out plants in mid October or late September in the bad (LB) years.

All the early varieties listed below are growing in our container garden, with a rare exceptions that are marked with *** (these were under plastic cover). Yes, they are in pots

. The container garden gets sunshine approximately from noon to 6 pm in May/June/July, and from 1 pm to 6 pm in August or later. The plants were set out from early to mid June this year. The container garden was the last planted. So I am truly impressed with the performance!
