Sailor's Luck F3
Here are two photos of tomatoes I grew from seed given to me by Jason Haynes of Tidewater region of Virginia. He calls his creation Sailor's Luck, and the seeds I grew were F3. I think the original cross was between Ethiopian Black and Vintage Wine, but I may be mistaken, and will have to check my notes again.
The vine was a strong, stout, upright, potato leaf plant that produced in clusters of three to five tomatoes; early-midseason, prolific, healthy, but faded in heat exceeding 90*F, and did not fully recover in the late season. Flavor is excellent, which really surprised me. Interior color is deep red. |
