That is a neat idea, harvesting with nets. I didn't know that was done, or that there were varieties for it.
I grew Matt's Wild Cherry last summer. It's a never-again for me. The fruit, in addition to being tiny, also like to explode before they make it out of the garden. It's like a survival trait of the plant, the ability to spew seeds everywhere when slightly disturbed. That problem would have to be addressed in anything net-harvested. |
