I have discovered adding a teaspoon of sugar helps to make the fluffier, too. That is for a regular biscuit batch about the size of Worth's. It isn't enough to make the dough sweet, just fluffier biscuits when they bake. Also remember to make the dough as quickly as possible working the wet in just until the flour mix is wet. Don't beat the dough any more than that. And make sure you follow Worths directions of having the oven hot before you put them in to bake. Don't let them sit on the counter when the dough is ready to go into the oven, otherwise they lose some of their rising chemical action.
