Worth's Soil Building Thread.
Here I am going to do the best I can to show you guys what I have been up to.
In the pictuers you will see are a duck billed shovel stuck in the ground and tilted up. This soil was almost solid red clay when I moved here. You will see the compost pile I do not take compost from it and it has been here for years. I put just about everything under the sun in it. The worms carry it off and disperse it in the soil around the area. It is not a hot compost pile it is a cold compost pile. I allow fungus and other microorganisms to break it down. The next pitcher you will see is the lettuce and so on. You will notice the plants are bigger closer to the compost pile and the good soil. This time of year and later as long as it is damp you will always see worms in the soil. Worth Pictures coming soon.
