For classic red cherries I like Fox Cherry and Tommy Toe. (I also love the name!) A small red cherry on a huge, prolific plant but with huge flavor is Matt's Wild Cherry, and a tasty yellow companion to that is Russian Mini Yellow. For hybrids, Sungold has to be on the list, and the delightful yellow Esterina. Black Cherry is on my every year list, and Pearly Pink Orange, because it is such an unusual perfect container plant. In the Artisan series, in my order of preference, my faves are Blush, Lucky Tiger, and Sunshine, Pink and Purple Bumblebee. (I'm bummed that my Sunshines didn't germinate this year!)

Boo! That's a bummer. But at least you have other nice varieties.
I am growing PPO in a pot this year, very curious about the taste... It is quite huge sideways, and always thirsty..! No wonder with all the fruit it's producing!!
