First baby tomatoes in PNW
I've got my first baby tomatoes on Floragold Basker and Tumbler F1 - these were planted on Jan 2, and they have been growing under fluo lights (no overdrive  ) since Jan 8/9... 44 and 46 days from germination to flower.
Floragold Basket Tumbler F1 I also grow about 8 Tumbler F2 and 8 TUmbler F3, and only one of the F2s is blooming; no fruit set yet. Interestingly enough, I got quite a segregation within F2 generation: one shows trailing habit, the rest are upright, one has much darker leaves than the rest, the flower clusters are also different. Interestingly, they all germinated at the same time, and both F1 plants have baby fruit, one F2 blooming, and the rest are not... Tumbler F2 Now I can call it a beginning of the tomato season! another month and I might get a ripe tomato!
