I didn't realize your garden was "that" shady, Worth. I suggest you grow broccoli (though I don't remember seeing it in your menus.
I had a few empty 5 gal buckets in the shade so I plunked my excess transplants in, forgot I had done that, and had great broccoli towards the fall. Maybe now is the time for you to plant for fall, or at least start some seeds. Fall vegie transplants have become almost impossible to find here. All you see are sickly ones that were in the 4 pack all summer.

Have you tried fall cabbage?
