Cherokee Purple and Shade
I'm growing quite a few tomatoes this year and have one bed near a creek bank that can hold 80 plants. There will be plenty of sun, but also a lot of shade as the sun moves.
Because of the shade and the cooler temps, I was saving this bed for Brandywine Sudduth, but I don't have enough seedlings for the whole bed now. I thought about putting my Cherokee Purples there. All I have read says they need full sun, but full sun in Wisconsin is a lot different than full sun in Mississippi. Does anyone have suggestions or info about Cherokee Purple and shade? I have plenty of room for them in some beds with full sun, but I may have to make a decision tomorrow. If I had enough BW Sudduth this wouldn't even be an issue, but I don't have enough seedlings, plus I have another place 50 yards up the creek that I can add BW later. Thanks in advance for any info you share. DS
