I have to add that although Gregori's Altai
has washed-out flavor this year, I'll grow
it again, just in case we get better weather
next year. It set fruit early and often, in
both sunny and cloudy weather, and it has
more big green fruit on it by far than
any of the other large fruited varieties that
I grew this year. (I had 2 plants, and they
are both alike, so it probably wasn't mere
hybrid vigor in action.)
