I had bell pepper plants I had to cover with a mesh to keep bugs and deer from eating them.
Unfortunately,no bees can get at the blossoms to pollinate. The peppers are the size of walnuts,so I picked some green ones and a hidden one that was starting to turn red. The red one was HOT,my lips are still burning. So even bell pepper plants have the capability to be hot if not properly pollinated. This is the second time I have seen this. The 1st time was an indoor bell pepper plant in a window during the winter that came out the size of a cherry pepper. That was hot also. |
