Default Canna Lillys -

Hey everyone ~ hope all is well ...

A few years ago, our Great Aunt Fran passed, and no-one wanted to take her "prized cannons" (cannas) she grew every year.
I've been growing them and over-wintering them for a while but wanted to fine-tune my storage method.

I've dig them up and they are drying on newspaper in the shed.
The have long roots on the bulbs. A couple questions:

How long should I dry them for?
Can I cut the roots off?
How should I properly store them?

I have been using a metal tray with some medium in it - but have heard about storing them like onions.

How do you store your bulbs?

Thanks !

~ Tom
