Small Fruit?
I'm sure this has been covered many times, sometime or another, but what causes small tomatoes? I have picked 3 Beefsteak now and they were all under 5 ounces and I just picked a 4 ounce Jet Star and Super Fantastic. Is it just the weather? I have beenwater in addition to rain, but I have only watered about twice a week, with soaker hoses for 4-5 hours total per week.

It could be a nutrient problem.
I have noticed that later in the season the tomatoes get smaller and its not the heat. Hot spring cool spring big tomatoes Later in the year hot or cool small tomatoes. Then there is the deal with small and big on the same vine at the same time. Beefsteak tomatoes seem to be the worst for this. Worth |

Potassium maybe. They need a lot of it when fruit are
developing. (Have any molasses?) Too much shade could do it, too.
