Hmmmm. I don't recall that shape. I like it though. If they keep that shape, Tom isn't the only one that will need seed (Hint Hint).

My co-worker LOVES CO, so he started some seeds this past spring saved from the fruit of the PL plant I gave him last season.
Interesting thing about his situation is he got 1 RL & 1 PL - when he gets back from Italy, I'm gonna have to ask him what the fruits (if any yet) look like and to snap a couple pics so I can post. I'm growing with KBX this season to compare ... ~ Tom

My RL CO this summer is from the RL Country Orange tomatoes pictured above from last summer. Next year, I will try a few more of the original seed to see if I get any PL's. But the tomato was excellent from the regular leaf so can't complain.
Tom and Cecil will keep you posted to see how that little strawberry shape ends up..........Patty |

Hey everyone - my co-worker grew CO last season (I gave him a plant) and he saved seeds from the maters. This season, he grew them out and got PL & RL. I asked him to send me a pic of the RL ...

Yet another question Tom. Did CO first turn up in your friend's garden some time back? Are your seeds from the same packet or from your friend's saved seeds. Sorry, I'm a little confused.

Ray -
Turned up in Cecils garden 2 seasons ago - they were purchased from TGS as "Boondocks" but did not come true. Cecil sent me seeds, and I grew it out at my place and also sent a plant to my co-workers patch. We both grew them out and we both had PL. He saved seed from his and this year he got both PL & RL and is growing out one of each. The picture above is the RL - he's going to "document" with pics and slicer pics for the rest of the summer. Lomatia - If you don't mind, when we taste the RL and save seed, I'd like to mail you some for further "observation". Please PM your addy again. ~ Tom

Final pic of Country Orange.......not the same as I had last year for sure. These seem to be large cherry size. I did saved seed from the very first strawberry shape but none since then. Will have to try again next season for the larger Country Orange.........Patty
