Container squash pepper
Squash pepper growing in a container on the deck. Variety is called "red mushroom". Seed from TGS. It's got plenty of peppers setting. Supposed to be super hot. I grew it for my daughter.

Hm, Tomato Grower's supply says it is a C chinense, but the chileman says it's a C annuum. Any chance you could get a picture of the flowers? Or you could take a look here and compare flowers.
http://www.thechileman.org/guide_species.php As a pepper geek, I'm always curious about these things. |

BlueAussie,
Sorry it took me so long to get a pic for you. Here you go. Both blossoms looked alike to me when I looked at the link you posted. So I'll let you decide

I'm pretty sure that's a chinense. Two flowers or more at each node, correct?
Thanks for going to the trouble of taking the picture. |

Yes, multiple flowers coming off each node...like the white habenero I am growing. The jalapeno is single flowers. It is supposed to be quite the little hottie and resemble a tam o'shanter. Not sure what a tam o'shanter is, but I'll take a pic of the peppers when they grow out LoL
