The aphid life cycle is around a week, plus or minus a day or two depending on weather and species. To break up the life cycle, I would spray every third day for a week or two. Check any plants near where you set your babies out to make sure they're not infested.

Just sprayed now as a precautionary method...(I also have a new spray system!)
