Anyone know where I can get seeds or starter plants for (I think) Thymbra capitatus? My son brought me back a couple of packets of dried herbs when he came back from a study trip to Tunis, and I think one of them is probably T. capitatus, common name Cone-head Thyme. It has a somewhat oregano-ish flavor, without the underlying 'kick' from ordinary thyme (Thymus).

However, I think I've found a source, as Arrowhead Alpines lists it, and they were on my good list back when I was in ARGS. Now the question is, whether I'm prepared to pay $8 plus shipping, or how big the order might get to justify the shipping... |
