This prudens purple is probable one of my best tomatos but it keeps doing this. I have removed bad leaves several times. What is it?

Hey saw your post is a few days old with no reply, I want to state I am not a tomato expert so hopefully someone will chime in if I give you some wrong or incomplete info.
Usually if the plant has already started setting fruit and you have a small amount of yellowing near the lower part of the plant then IMHO nothing to worry about it sometimes happens as the plants mature. Its fairly common. Yellowing a lot of times can also be a sign of low nitrogen in the soil. Though from your pic the rest of the foliage is dark green so I do not think that is the issue, but if you want you can always test the soil as its a good ideal anyways. There are also a few fungus that can cause yellowing so might want to keep an eye on that especially if it seems to be spreading. Also insects such as caterpillars and some worms could be a cause as well. I tried to list the most common causes of yellowing as to give you a good place to start. You might also want to post a really close up shot of the effected areas as that might give some additional clues for peps to look for. Anyways hope this helps you some |
