Third Hornworm in 3 days

Well it's that time of year again. I just removed my third Tomato Hornworm of the year. I had over 30 last year on 9 plants. Amyone else seeing the not so little horned devils yet?

Where would you look for them?

Sometimes I'm lucky and notice them before a large part of the plant is striped.
other times you see a naked plant they just munch away night and day till you take them out.

I've found and squished at least ten of the tiny guys, and squished a lot more of their eggs. I did not hesitate to spray my first round of BT!!

Thanks Kevin! Here is one of mine from last year. I just keep an eye out for stripped leaves or horn worm poo on my leaves.

Great. I hate those guys. Last year I had a non stop battle against them. I think it ended up in a draw since I only had 8 plants.

I know they range into New York State, but I've never seen one in my life here in Western NY. In Nassau County where you are—I don't know.

I keep a scissors at the ready. It makes short work of them.

i'm glad you referred to pictures of a thw with egg sacs from parasitic wasps. any thw with these egg sacs should be left in place undisturbed. i had a thw one year with so many egg sacs you barely could see the green of the thw!
