Default Cold Treatment of Seeds?

I've seen several threads on here that deal with cold treatment and seedlings, but I didn't run across one regarding cold treatment and seeds. If I missed it, pardon me for repeating a question on here. But........

I've saved from seeds from Chocolate Cherry using the fermentation method and they are now drying on wax paper. My question is, do I need to give these seeds a cold snap in the fridge or is that even necessary for germination?

Thanks,

Kerry

Tomato seeds don't need cold treatment to germinate.
