Actually I'd never heard of it and don't read the catalogs of the places where it's sold and I don't look for hybrid varieties, so I Googled it and found it was an hybrid variety and despite that being said at Parks and Totally Tomatoes, it was listed at the following site under heirloom tomatoes, although noted to be an hybrid and said it was bred in India. http://www.thenibble.com/REVIEWS/Mai...7.asp#heirloom And perhaps someone here is growing it and can give you an opinion. I wonder why the name Tolstoi, aka Tolstoy, but not as in Leo?
