Default Purple Calabash

I'll admit that many of you are right. I pulled my first tomatoes off my calabash last night. Not a good tomato.

Well, some of us did say that so I guess what we said was true for you as well.

But....... there are those who do like what I call the aggressive taste of it, so there you go.

Maybe my plant had some problems with the heat and lack of rain, but mine lacked any serious taste. Actually very, very bland, although I did get one single bite that had a smoky hint to it.

I'll side with my more acidic varieties and will pass my seeds on to somebody else.

We liked the flavor...the looks...well, I may have to put a paper bag over them before I eat them again!
