Default Burkanlapu

Does anyone know if Burkanlapu is aka Silvery Fir Tree? I've never grown SFT but am growing Burkanlapu for the first time this year, and its appearance/traits seem to match those of SFT. http://www.tomaten-atlas.de/sorten/b/118-burkanlapu
Thanks.

Steve

Could very well be.
Burkan=carrot and lapu=leaf in Latvian.
So sounds like another name for Carrot-Like which Tania's dbase says may be the same. http://t.tatianastomatobase.com:88/wiki/Carrot-Like

You might want to check with Andrey b'c he says Carrot-Like, which I've grown, and Silvery Fir Tree, which I've grown are not the same but I've forgotten why he says so. And I grew them many years apart so can't be helpful in regards to comparison.

I got seeds for Carrot-Like back in the early 80's from Seeds Blum, now out of business, and Silvery For Tree seeds were sent to SSE in 1994, and first offered in the Yearbook in 1995 by them. Their then contact in Moscow was Marie Danilenko who was repsonsible for sending them many many varieties from the former USSR, now known as the CIS.

Well I remember trialing for SSE both Black Sea Man and Southern Nights and many more.
