The pleasure of giving seedlings
Folks, I gave some Cherokee Purple seedlings to a gentleman in the mountains who owns goats. I covet his goat poop. Here is the message he sent me today:
The black heirlooms are WONDERFUL……. PLEASE save me a few plants next year and you can have all the goat poop you want. |

What a deal!!! But then you deserve the good karma for all you have done sharing seeds and your nice gesture to this gentleman with the goats.

Nice of him to think of letting you know how he's enjoying your gift. And nice of you to make that gift!
We picked up 5 truck loads of goat poo within the past week. I have not yet met the giver, so don't know how to reciprocate. For our previous manure source, we had a long-term manure arrangement, I took her produce, currant bushes I had started from cuttings, and saved my empty egg cartons for her. Sherry |

Hmm...gave me an idea. Maybe I can barter seedlings next year for poop too!
