Default You guys gotta see this!

We had a beehive inside our Comcast cable box, and we called a beekeeper to save the hive, Comcast would have just killed them.
My husband videoed it, wow! Takes a minute to load.

The video is about 6 seconds. The guy took 27 minutes and was able to save the hive. Had a well developed queen cell. He said he frequently lectures and teaches others to be a beekeeper, and he hadn't seen such a well developed hive inside a small container like this before. His estimate was 5-6000 bees in there.

Wow! That's cool that you called a beekeeper.

This reminds me of the time at my dad's in Key Largo a bunch of us were hanging around outside in afternoon. I was near the street. All of the sudden, I see bees! not a few bees, but thousands of bees, a wall of bees from a few feet off the ground to about 15 feet up coming down the street our way. I think I swore and yelled BEES! as I ran towards the house. Everyone just stood there looking at me like I'm insane, lol. They passed on by and disappeared into the trees at the dead end of the street.
Something I'll never forget,
Remy

Marsha thank so much for contacting a bee keeper to save them. With all the recent bee losses, it is nice to see so many saved. I love what they do for us, but I will admit it was hard watching as I'm very allergic to honey bees I've been stung 2 previous times and ended up on ventilator for several days, they told me that if I get stung again, it could be my last.... I'm just smart around them and carry my epi pen.

But it is so nice to see someone save them instead of just killing them and their hive.

Wow Remy, that's quite a story. I would have been terrified. I wonder if it was those Africanized bees, the so called "Killer bees".
That would have been picture worthy I think.

Thanks for the approval vote Jan.I am so glad to here that you carry that epinephrine. Smart girl.
We just couldn't bring ourselves to have Comcast destroy them. They are so precious to life for all things.

We had to let our little dog out in the front yard for the rest of the day, those left behind were really Ticked Off! My husband set up a Flip video camera on a tripod to get the film, and in the long version we watched yesterday some of those bees came charging right up to the camera, like a 3D horror flick. It was cool!

Maybe that explains any buzzing noises your TV may have been making.
