Good lord, this is a really OLD thread! But now you've got me wondering too if seeds were ever offered?

Bump. I'm wondering the same thing Dee and Sodak.
This post originated before I became a member here. |

I reread this whole thread again and I'm convinced, since the original poster is in MA, that the heirloom he's referring to is one that Tony Neves gave to the man who owned Neptune's Harvest in MA, near Boston asI recall, in return for fertilizer.
The whole history can be read at Tania's page for it> http://t.tatianastomatobase.com:88/w...es_Azorean_Red Carolyn

I dug up an old thread at Gardenweb (2007) that lists Organic Nut's email address, if anyone would like to try it. It's listed about half way down the thread.
http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/l...029176223.html I'm with Carolyn, and believe this tomato is likely Neves Azorean Red. Since I can sum up my opinion of NAR in two words..."best red", I have no interest in tracking down what may or may not be the same tomato. Gary |
