How are your Bumblebee's doing?

The taste of my Pink Bumblebee has been wonderful, sweet and bit tomato-y, but my plants are tiny compared to my 6 foot Black Cherry in a different bed. I'm wondering if it's the bed I'm using, or the nature of the variety.

My pink bumblebee is small and so is my blush, but my purple bumblebee is quite vigorous. I got those seeds late, so while most my plants are 1 month behind, those are actually almost 2 months behind! I literally transplanted them outside in the ground when their first set of true leaves wasn't even fully developed yet and just barely visible. Yet pretty soon you won't be able to tell the purple bumblebee from the rest of my plants. It is growing that fast. No fruit yet from any of them though.

Purple Bumblebee is loading up with fruit and growing quite vigorously. The heat does not seem to bother it! Nothing ripe yet, though the unripe fruit are pretty in their stripes.

My Pink Bumblebee plants are also smallish. They are shy to set fruit - there is no fruit set yet on all 3 plants, although all the other cherries already have baby tomatoes. Perhaps they are shaded a bit too much by neighboring plants - they are planted in between more vigorous varieties, as I did not expect the plants to be so compact.

I'm glad to hear they're supposed to be a bit small, I was starting to wonder if I was doing something wrong. I probably still am, but at least I know I'm not stunting them outright.

Still too early for mine to flower or set fruit.
