1884 Purple 'Cherry'? Or something else?

I have a weird one here...I got some 1884 Purple seed in one of the swaps last year. Having heard nice things about this tomato; I decided to make room to grow one out this year. Everything seems to be spot on except for one criteria...size. Beautiful color, tasty, prolific, but none of them progress beyond the 'cherry' stage. They are all uniform in size...a bit larger than a black cherry, and a slight oblate shape to them. Has anyone ever seen tomatoes as described come off an 1884 Purple plant? All other tomatoes in garden are growing true. (I will try to post pics later...haven't tried that before, so I hope I don't screw it up...will follow instructions on 'photo thread'.)

I don't know what that is but it's a beautiful cherry. If it tastes as good as it looks I would save some seed and see what it does next year. might be a mix-up or might be a cross. I sort of like those kind of surprises. That's part of the fun of swaps and growing heirlooms in general

Looks like I was making a mountain out of a molehill (as usual)...posting pics was EASY. So what have I got? Very pretty, very tasty; but definitely NOT an 1884 Purple. I will definitely save some seed, and grow them out next year to see what I wind up with...
