-This has been our coldest winter in decades.
-Last week we marked our 25th straight day where we saw zero degree or colder temperatures. This week we kept going but I stopped counting. -A.M. windchills have been -25 or so, which means instead of staying in PJ's I'm loading kids into the car to get them to school every morning. -We haven't seen 30 degrees in a looooooooooong time. -Our snowfall has been ridculously regular, about every 3 days, dumping 2-10 inches, and it. never. melts. -The burbs have or have nearly nearly run out of salt. -Salt doesn't do squat when temps are below 20, which is every night by many degrees. -The potholes are man eating tire flattening obstacles courses. -The black ice is killing people nearly every night. -The dog won't go outside without me putting socks on him ever since he froze his feet being ten minutes outside when it was -15. -The kids will be in school five extra days in June thanks to all the danger cold days off. -Our heating bills......gah. -The side streets are getting narrower and narrower because of issues finding places to put the snow. -I suspect my koi are dead. I haven't been able to maintain a hole in the ice for a month+. -The deer are eating bark on the trees. It has been one heck of a winter BUT we only have about 7 days left of it! In a week we are forecast to hit 46 degrees and that means t-shirts and shorts baby! Stacy |

That's a good link Worth. Helps illustrate that Global warming causes extremes in both directions.

You guys have our Winter and we want it back! Honestly, we have gotten ONE storm since the first of the year that laid down a few feet around Lake Tahoe, and only about .25" here in Reno. It's too warm and this drought has to end. It's getting serious... We are forecast to be in the 60s for the next week. That's Spring weather and we never got Winter.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhh!!! I'm tired of this (&@ppy weather! We have over 2 feet of snow still hanging around from the last two snow storms, and more on the way. Plus every morning with out fail, I've woken to below zero temperatures. I heat with wood, so every time it snows, besides clearing the driveway and paths, etcetera, I also have to dig out all of my firewood! So, now I want Sol to stop being so cheap and beam us down some of that radiation it just brimming with. It's not as if it can't be spared. Charlie |

Like when its 100 and humid.. ahhh miss those days. I hope the guys and gals down south and out east weather the storms coming their way. Its looking bad! And too all of you up north, Hang in there. You are troopers! kinda been there done that, right? But not to this extreme i am sure. And salute to the west coast while I am at it. It will rain someday... Maybe? Worth, I think bears have the best idea. Screw it, I am sleeping it thru.
