I have it in water, but it may be too late. I don't know how long it had been snapped off before I found it. If I am successful, I will have 5 CG. This is my first year with CG and it is outperforming everything else in the garden.

I have a friend in the Fallbrook area that I hope has evacuated by now. This is so horrible.

Yes its been a bad day for so many. Lots of evacuations and people still out of their homes due to power outages. Red Flag (high fire danger) tomorrow too.

The dry wind complicates things more than just a heat event. I always maintain moisture in my root zones (avocados especially) before/during these events. A prayer for rain never hurts....haha

Escondido needs some prayers now. Wind has shifted to the east. Escondido is a big city with many houses and businesses. This could get real ugly in the next couple hours.

Such a scary situation going on here in SoCal, I hope everyone is safe and of course, that everyone's tomatoes are okay! Here in LA I have been having to water my container plants every day, and still they are getting a little wilted. Hopefully by the weekend we will get a relief from this heat and firefighters will be able to control the fires.

We're super dry and have had some strong wind over the past few days. Now we're in for three days of 103 degree weather. Hoping Arizona doesn't start burning up,too!

I have 15 tomatoes going in pots, amazingly the best looking ones are the five dwarfs after all this scorching heat and wind. Thank you dwarf team! Black Prince and Black from Tula are in terrible shape, they are almost cooked. One Santorini I have is loving this heat. Cherokee Purple, Black Krim, and Mortgage Lifter are doing OK.
