Worth, that is what any American born think of them selfs. You are all high maintenance. Our son was 3 when we came here, he would not survive in any part of the former Soviet Union countries. He is spoiled.

Worth recently experienced the tragic loss of his wife, that is what he is talking about when he says getting his life in oder and in line.

Though I don't know Worth personally I doubt he is high maintenance, I'm sure he can forage if needed or cook an extra fine meal with store bought ingredients. From what little I know of Worth, he is a survivor.

My life is an open book, where some people find embarrassment in their hard times I find mine to be a source of inspiration not only for myself but others.

Trust me when I say I can adjust to any environment because I have out of necessity.

On the morning of my 21st birthday I woke up with a family of large rats nestled on my chest.
I had no home and was living in the worst slum America had to offer.
Even in these conditions I was proud to be on my own.
I have had to pull myself from poverty many times in my lifetime and have many stories.

Your comments are usually funny and much different then most people expect. I was surprised to hear that you have much to deal with. That is how strong people deal with things, staying positive. Good for you. Sorry again for not realizing that.

I think you should explore the world Worth! I would think you are a low maintenance kind of guy. I am typical American and high maintenance. But I work very hard for every dime I have. Day before yesterday was a 16 hr day caring for others in a hospital setting and vomiting in between because I was sick. On top of that I am missing about 4 pints of blood. And the other night when I left work at end of shift after 12 hours and realized I had 102.5 fever. I guess I have no work ethics LOL. I still feel very blessed to live here and have the access to things I do have. I love America. I also love visiting other countries. Have been to Italy and Europe (in better days). Some day I would love to visit Aurdry;s homeland and learn some about his culture. It is a really beautiful garden.

You'll love it. One trip I made that I'll never forget was my trip to Russia.

The old buildings are really cool. I'll never forget the church in Yaroslavl that was built like a fortess complete with watch tower and slots in the walls for firing through! Not sure it it was arrows or guns......... But the idea of a church as a fort was a real eye opener. Now that's what I call defending the faith!

But I saw just a fraction of the 100's of old churches and other buildings there.

I was told a story when I was there. During the purges when most old churches were destroyed, Yaroslavl escaped that fate because in the communist efficiency, they started at the top of the list and the list was in alphabetical order. The Russian letter for Y is Я and is the last letter of their alphabet!. So by the time they got to Yaroslavl (Ярослáвль) Stalin had died and the policy changed. Not sure if the story was actually true, or an urban myth, but it is a great story!

They also had a monastery still active that was famous for their heirloom roses they have kept alive all these years even in a climate that has bitter cold winters that could easily kill a rose. Their secret for this miracle? VERY thick mulches and creating a microclimate inside the walls of the monastery.

I'd been to Yaroslavl 4 times during past 5 years for business.
This is a one of core cities to understand Russian beauty and mentality. Yaroslavl is one of the Golden Ring cities, a group of historic cities northeast of Moscow that has played an important role in Russian history. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Ring
There has been a good tradition to grow heirloom veggies at Russian monastery kitchen-gardens. The most famous monastery tomatoes are from Murom, one of the oldest Russian small towns, in Vladimir region. I've been there as well.

And your story about "Я" is actually true
