It all depended upon where I did the graft onto the rootstock. I try to make my grafts around 2 inches above the soil line; but matching stems is more important. I do try not to leave too many leaves on either the rootstock or the scion.

I wonder if the leaves of the rootstock have any effect on flavor-wise.
