No, have never heard of it so Googled and it's a specialty one for greenhouse growing.

There is somebody selling seeds on ebay for it cheap. Not sure how true their seeds are since it says pics are from their garden and one pic looks identical to what is one of Sutton's grafted plants of Florryno and Zebrino.

Looked around a bit more today. Zebrino is a Monsanto/Seminis/DeRuiter variety. So the ebay seller offering "Super-Rare Zebrino" (they call it an heirloom) may not have chosen the best company to appropriate from.
What is surprising to me is the dearth of comments about this variety from gardeners. It has been sold in Europe and Australia for awhile, it seems. But, availability may be pretty much limited to larger growers, and that might explain it. |
