Default RL Stump of the World

Two or three of my SOTW plants are coming out regular leaf. I have read the Ben Quisenberry threads but still confused. Are these regular leaf plants to be called Stump of the World or are they Big Ben? Are they two different 'strains'? Does it matter?

There is only ONE thread here where Ben Quisenberry's grandson started posting and that in post #9 where he said Stump was RL

Another thread...

www.tomatoville.com/showthread.php?t=20177

...(post #11) may explain why so many plants get both types of leaves. I likely sent David 5,000 + seeds of SOTW, back then. He traded with a lot of people.

The one thing I will add is that SOTW in 2003, was said to be PL, which was incorrect.

From the link I gave above from 2009 this is what Ben Quiseberrys grandson said

(Hope this answers some questions.....
Grandpa's "Stump of the World" was regular leaf, but he renamed it "Big Ben" because he didn't like the name "Stump of the World".)

So, Big Ben is the former Stump of the World (which is regular leaf) and the potato leaf is still known as Stump of the World)

I don't know how many of you read that thread I put up but it really was interesting to lots of folks, including me

Thanks all. So then to be 'correct' it would do to call the regular leaf Big Ben and the potato leaf Stump of the World. Which I think I shall do since anything else maintains the confusion.

Yeah this has caused me to keep an eye peeled on all my potato leaf seedling varieties.

That means I'd like to correct my correction (I think), as I had SOTW (not Big Ben) noted as a PL many moons ago.

I noticed that there is a Big Ben No. 1 being offered at Tatiana's and Delectation of Tomatoes. Is this the same as the original, how is it different?

I think the link below from Tania explains it, specifically since she last updated the page in 2013 so didn't incorporate the info that I gavea bove from Ben's grandson.

Summary? THE #1 and #2 are the same with RL foliage and all other traits.
