Coyote Slow to Germinate?
Alright I have about had it with my coyote seeds. Im on 2 weeks and still no sign of germination. I even tried a new cell and loaded it with 50 + seeds about a week ago and still nothing.
Am I jinxed here or did I just have a bad run of seed? I saved these from last years coyote crop just as I saved many others which germed fine. I had 17 other varieties all with excellent germ and this one just will not jump out of the tray for me. Anyone have any good germ Coyote seed they can sell me ? I can paypal! We love coyote and cant fathom having to do without this year! HELP Much appreciated. |

I don't know about Coyote germination rates. I'm growing it for the first time myself this year, but I would have a bit more patience. I've had other type of seed take 3 to even 4 weeks to come up. Sometimes it is because they are not getting enough light, too much heat as some like it on the cooler side to germinate or maybe you need more heat.
Just a friendly note that here on TV we can not sell seeds or offer to buy through the forums. Don't want to see you get into trouble. You can go down to the Wanted Forum and ask folks there if anybody has any Coyote seeds they are willing to share. Hope you get some sprouting soon. : ) |

I agree with Star, sometimes it just takes longer to germinate than expected. You may also have a bad batch of seeds, only time will tell.

Glad you finally have some babies sprouting. : ) I had looked in my seeds, but the few I had were from 2009.
Hope they grow big and strong for you. |

I'm growing Coyote this year, the seed packet had a label on it that warned of a bad germination rate so the seed count was doubled on the packet to make up for it. Coyote did take longer to germinate than the other seeds for me as well.
