I am beginning to think that I am missing out by not growing this tomato! I will have to do that next year for sure.

Here's a sliced pic:
Click for Larger Size Many were larger and more irregular than this, though. I got all sorts of different shapes. AGG is a top five tomato to my taste buds. |

I've only grown AGG once (the yield was very low for me) but I know mine were definitely more yellow-gold in color...not orange. And they really were kind of ugly sometimes, with stitching and such.
As for the taste...wow. I intend to try again at some point with this one. I tried this tomato and Aunt Ruby's both for the first time at the same meal. My husband took one bite of Aunt Ruby's and said,"This is the best tomato I've ever tasted." Then he took a bite of the AGG and said,"I take it back. THIS is the best tomato I've ever tasted!!!" They were truly delicious. Jennifer |

I forgot to add this one.
And here's one of Burracker's Favorite, one of the few rivaling AGG in taste, but is very yellow. Click for Larger Size

Ann, do you think you got the seeds from me? That looks more like Kellogg's Breakfast, doesn't it? I grew both of those last year so I'm hoping it wasn't a mislabel or maybe crossed or something. Well, KB is regular leaf so not a mislabel. Hmmm. It looks really good in any case

Hi Lori, Thanks, and yes, this was from you. It is a pretty tomato and really juicy. I haven't tried Kellogg's Breakfast yet.
Earl, Thanks for the mouthwatering photos! Who carries Burracker's Favorite? Jennifer, Wow, what a taste description to look forward to! No black stitching on mine. moulman, I've never grown Jubilee. If anyone wants to try some of these for comparison, send me a PM... I just fermented some seeds from the first 3 fruit. |

Well, I sent AGG out to several people so I hope they all weren't something else. Sorry about that, Ann. I remember AGG as being distinctly golden, much like the pictures Earl had posted. I loved the flavor and it was assertive and delicious. Guess that doesn't make you feel any better, does it?
