So far I noticed most if not all the blooms on my F2 plants have fused blooms.

So it seems as if the variation in fruit shape and size is just a result of a large amount fused blooms, I'm assuming a trait from BTD because I remember they were mostly fused blooms too. Regardless it's a pretty cool cross and can't wait for the fruit to ripen.

Ok, so I'm baffled. Last year I saved seeds from ONE tomato from my cross. I planted them out and get this... Each tomato is from a different plant, all plants from seeds from the same tomato.

Yes, pretty much the level of segregation for different types I would expect in the F2 of this cross. The number of tomatoes of the F1 you saved seed from has no bearing on this. They will continue to segregate for several more generations yet and now is the time to start getting selective about which ones you save seed from. Pick your favourite based on taste and whatever you are wanting in terms of looks and have fun stabilising it

Fused blooms most often means fasciated (fas) gene.

I learn something new everyday, I'm going to save seeds and replant from the 3rd tomato from the left. That tasted the best!

My f3's are coming up.. It'll be interesting to see what I get this year.. There were 2 distinct phenotypes I saved and will grow them out separately. I hope everything will stabilize eventually...
