2 months after sowing, the first flowers have appeared.
Left is a Peardrops, right is a Mohamed. They're in 5inch pots at the moment. I'll move them to their final 8inch pots some time next week. The Patio Orange is too tall for the lights, so has been banished to the windowsill (it still is a very compact dwarf, just not as compact as the others). Yellow Canary, Yellow Tumbling Tom Jnr, Chibikko, Snow Fairy and Floragold Basket are doing well in their 1inch pots, and are all on their 3rd leaf. Once they have 4 leaves I'll move them onto the 3inch pots. |

Hatgirl, that is impressive and great looking plants!
Is the color of the light such pinkish purple like in many LED growlights? I would buy those lights from IKEA, if I did not have so many DIY LED lights already. We do not have IKEA close to us, but I have friends who think that it is a great travel destination, so I may ask one of them bring such light to me. Sari

The output from the lights looks like daylight (or "warm white") but the LEDs aren't all the same. If you look carefully you can see there are a few blue lights mixed in at either end. But the end result is " daylight", not the pinky-purple I see in other grow setups

Lots of fruit set on the tomatoes, but none ripe yet. I should have some next month
I set up the proper IKEA kit back in February, and it's going pretty well |

I want to switch to LED but right now I am using a dual arc hybrid 1000w MH/HPS bulb and it is amazing, hortiluz sells one for almost $200 a bulb but I fould one for about $50 and it is great, best luck I have had with germination and what a jump I get on the season.
