Once, at transplant to either last container or into garden in ground. I do use varied fert.s depending on what my plants need, sometimes MG or Peters, General Hydroponics, manures, fish stuff...
I am lazy, so try to figure out the best and easiest way to achieve what I need to get done, with my limitations. |

Mycogrow Soluble is absolutely effective, and cheap. I water it in when transplanting, but you can dip the root ball as well.
You can easily do a side-by-side and see the difference in a few weeks. |

I use Azo's. It is made of a organism that infects the root and encourages growth.
